Ryans tummy trouble

For pretty much his whole life Ryan has had trouble in his guts. After many years and after much pushing my his mother and myself he finally went to the doctor. The Gastrointestinal doctor is leaning towards Celiacs Disease. This is where your body cannot digest gluten. The blood test told us he has the gene for it but wasn't active in his blood. This does not mean he doesn't have it. It is common for the test to come back normal but you could still have it. The next step was to have a biopsy done of his upper small intestine. This was done this past Tuesday. Everything looks pretty normal on the way to his small intestine but we wont know the results until the lab work comes back.

If he has Celiacs this will mean a huge diet change. We will have to do lots of searching to find gluten free foods. Gluten is mainly in wheat products. At least he will have relief from years of pain. If he doesn't have it then on to more testing.
