So I last left you as I sat writing from our hotel room right after we got here. The last two and a half weeks have been a whirl-wind. We walked daily to the lemon lot, AKA the for sale lot, to look for cars. We also looked on a local website that is like Craigslist. We also looked at a house and a town house. We ended up choosing the townhouse. It is recently renovated, had a good layout and less yard to maintain. The house was nice but needed a lot of work and probably would have been a while before we could move in. The BX (base exchange), like a wal-mart/target ish type store, and the Commissary (grocery) store are really close and we walked down to them daily to get out of the hotel room. We usually brought up a few groceries, since we are on the third floor and there is not an elevator, we tried to space out loads. I would like to thank my Ergo baby carrier for being the BEST THING EVER during these weeks. Carrying Calli Ann would have been miserable if not for this carrier. We do have the stroller but like I said, 3rd floor...no elevator and of course it isn't the umbrella stroller, so it is heavy.
We also took a last minute trip to the norther tip of the island to a Air Force resort called Okuma. Gorgeous!! Blue water, greenery and relaxing. Just what we needed after our long trip and the changes we experienced the first week we were here. The girls had a blast in the sand and they were so sad when we had to leave. Jayla still talks about Okuma a week later.
